Hi, I’m Laura Vallentin!

I’m a 20-year-old girl from Copenhagen, Denmark, and I am the founder of Becomehealthyblog. After many years of trying to create a healthy life balance, I decided to start my own blog. I started Becomehealthyblog because I have a strong passion for what you would call a healthy body and mind all-in-one, and I wanted to inspire others to start incorporating healthy habits into their lives as well. That is why Becomehealthyblog is an all-in-one health platform that aim to help fellow aspiring people taking everyday steps towards an even healthier lifestyle.

I graduated with an A+ in A-level biology from one of Denmark’s top private schools. I have furthermore taken a stress management course as well as a nutrition and diet online course covering healthy eating, vitamins and minerals, and the importance of drinking water. In my thesis I combined biology with phycology and wrote about stress in professional athletes. I wrote about the effects of stress on our bodies, management and prevention of stress and depression, and I furthermore did an analysis on the professional football player Jesse Lingard. After handing in my written paper, I had to do an oral defense presentation, which went well and got me an A+.

As for my private life, I live and breathe football. I have been playing since I was 10 years old, and my goal is to play in the FA Women’s Super League. My football training is combined with resistance training and injury prevention, which makes me knowledgeable about strength training and several injuries, as I have been through a couple injuries myself, including sprained ankles, pulled hamstrings, shin splints, quadriceps muscle strains, and an ACL injury among others.

To take care of my mental health, which is just as important as my physical one, I practice yoga in the morning 2-3 times a week which is always finished off with mindfulness to feel calmer, cope better with my difficult thoughts and understand my feelings better. I also enjoy doing Pilates once or twice a week, to improve my strength, flexibility, and muscle balance.
